Henley Road Post Office

The announcement of the closure of Henley Road Post Office along with other Post Offices in the City has been greeted with dismay by local residents.

Despite a petition with 2000 signatures and literally hundreds of letters of protest from those urging that the Post Office be maintained the battle has been lost.

Western Park Lib Dem Councillor, Peter Coley, told the editor of this website: "The decision to close down Henley Rd PO is foolhardy and wrong especially in view of the large number of older residents who have been regularly using its services in increasing numbers. It is a crazy decision."
