No Cold Calling Zones

Residents can report any sales person ignoring the zone to police on 0116 222 2222.

Parts of Saffron and Aylestone Park are to become No Cold Calling Zones.

Lib Dem Cllr. Dale Keeling joined magistrates and members of the Police Community Support Group to hand out information packs and door stickers about the dangers of Cold Calling.

The No Cold Calling Project is supported by the police, the city council's trading standards and housing departments, Severn Trent Water, Saffron Lane Community Justice Project and residents groups. Freemen Ward Councillor Dale Keeling has supported the idea of a no cold calling zones in his ward for some time, he said, "This is not only to deter unwanted door-to-door salesmen but also help to cut down on distraction burglars."
