Plans have been approved by the City Council for the Vicarage on Scott Street to be converted into 15 separate flats.

Scott Street residents signed a petition against this proposal. Freemen Ward Councillor Dale Keeling wrote an objection to the plans. He said, "This is disappointing news, I feel the Council has made a mistake and in my opinion the area will be over developed."

The Labour councillor for the area voted in favour of the plans.
