More Help is Needed for Special Olympics

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the Lord Mayor fund-raising Appeal can ring 233 2000.

Angela Sansome, a volunteer publicity events manager for the Special Olympics is not only calling for volunteers to help in the 2009 Special Olympics National Summer Games but also asking members of the public to help raise the funds needed to hoist the games.

Volunteers are needed to help with every aspect of running the games, from supporting the visiting teams to acting as officials. Anyone who wants to register an interest in taking part can download an application form from www.sol2009.com.
