Saffron Lane Road WorksPublished on Fri 24th Jul 2009
Lib Dem Freemen Ward Councillor, Dale Keeling, has received calls from concerned residents about the works taking place on Saffron Lane. Part of Saffron Lane has been sectioned off in order to allow for an installation of a gas pipe. Councillor Keeling has spoken to the Council's Transport Systems department and has been assured that the Lane will be made good in time for the Special Olympics due to start on the 25th July. If works have not been completed by this date then they will continue after the games have finished. Residents have also been concerned about Bus routes chosen by the bus companies to avoid the works, they feel better routes could have been chosen. Dale Keeling has written to the companies highlighting this issue and is awaiting a response.
