Castle Ward campaigner, Joan Garrity, is collecting signatures demanding action from the City Council to fine owners of dogs that leave dog foul on pavements.

Joan said, "This has become a problem in and around the Clarendon Park area, we need proactive action from the City Council to fine irresponsible dog owners." She added that the City Council could use the powers under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to fine dog owners who are persistent offenders.

Joan will be present the petition during Septembers full City Council meeting.
