Mary Linwood School was closed by Sir Peter Soulsby, Labour’s candidate in the Leicester South by-election, children now have to be bussed miles to get to school as a result of his savage cuts.

Who would have believed that the man who closed this local school (plus five others), closed homes for the elderly across Leicester and closed St Margaret's Baths would try to be our MP!

Local residents are furious that Leicester's King of Cuts has been selected by Labour as their candidate in the Leicester South byelection.

The man best known for getting local Council Tax payers to fund his fat cat pay rises and for closing local schools, old peoples homes, Granby Halls and St Margarets Baths is now asking local residents to give him a last chance — after electors kicked him off Leicester City Council in favour of the Liberal Democrats.

Many Labour voters are joining with Liberal Democrats across Leicester South and lending their vote to Parmjit Gill, the Lib Dem candidate, who is the only person that can stop Labour's King of Cuts from winning here.
