Fox hunting should have been banned years ago, says Parmjit Singh Gill MP

Yesterday MPs voted overwhelmingly to ban fox hunting after years of skirting around the issue. In his first free vote since being elected to the House of Commons, Liberal Democrat MP for Leicester South Parmjit Singh Gill voted for a ban.

He said, "The Labour Party have been in government for more than seven years now. This Bill should have been passed years ago. But every time the issue has been debated the Labour government have caved in to the House of Lords. Let's hope they don't give in this time so that this barbarous act of cruelty can finally end once and for all."
