Thank you from Parmjit Singh Gill9.40.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 10th May 2005
Parmjit Singh Gill, who lost Leicester South by a slim margin gave a warm thank you for all those who supported him during the General Election Campaign and his term as Member of Parliament for Leicester South. The Liberal Democrats gained a respectful second place and achieved a 14.3% swing from Labour to the Lib-Dems - securing their place as the only and real alternative to New Labour both locally and nationally in Leicester.
