Cllr Roger Blackmore

Cllr Roger Blackmore, Lib Dem Leader of Leicester City Council

The City Council Leader is looking for comments on what people see as the most significant achievements of the Lib Dem led City administration.

Cllr Roger Blackmore said "We have pioneered a whole range of measures in Leicester since 2003 from the introduction of area committees through major investment in City Parks to the setting up of Home Come which is the only scheme of its kind in any UK city or district aimed at getting empty properties back into use and renting them out to people on the housing waiting

list. All these things have been done whilst at the same time keeping council tax below the rate of inflation."

"Do let us know what other achievements you particularly like be it free swimming for the over sixties or the major investment programme (BSF) which is in the process of renovating and rebuilding city secondary schools"
