The Curve

The Curve is one building that can not be described as lacklustre!

Cllr. Hussein Suleman, the Lib Dem vice-chairman of the city council's planning committee, has agreed with the chief executive of the Leicester Regeneration Company, when he called for an end to lacklustre building projects and for an emphasis on quality.

Cllr. Suleman told local press and this website, "I think John Nicholls is right - we have got to make sure we have the right mix and quality." However, he went onto say that the committee could not refuse planning permission because members did not believe the development would look good enough.

Cllr. Suleman stated, "What we want to do is work in partnership, talking to developers, saying 'This is our vision, how can we work together to achieve what we all want?'"

Mr Nicholls, the chief executive of the Leicester Regeneration Company said in the local press that modern architecture could be controversial, but people would recognise quality developments and was quoted as saying "Real quality speaks for itself."
